Biography
When Maria Newitt was born on 1 November 1819, in Long Buckby, Northamptonshire, England, United Kingdom, her father, Adam Newitt, was 30 and her mother, Ann Russell, was 40. She married Lawrence Holding on 20 November 1837, in Sorell, Tasmania, Australia. They were the parents of at least 3 sons and 2 daughters. She died on 13 June 1879, in Sorell, Tasmania, Australia, at the age of 59, and was buried in Sorell, Tasmania, Australia.[1]
