This Robert Newman was associated as the father of Elizabeth (Newman) Green. Elizabeth's father was known to be a Robert, but no support is found for her father to have been this Robert (Newman-643). This association was disputed by WikiTree collaborators; it was severed in 2021.

Elizabeth (Newman) Green is attached as Robert's daughter. Her father' name was Robert, but I question whether it was this Robert. Elizabeth (Newman) Green was baptized Strood, Kent, England, in 1613. Those of us working on Elizabeth's profile suspected her father and mother both died at Strood in 1625. Elizabeth had known siblings Ann (Newman) Griffen and Joane (Newman) Wing. Elizabeth had other siblings, but it is not clear they survive to adulthood.
This Robert is not the same as the man we have presumed her father.
There is a will abstract on what seems this Robert's profile at Geni.com. Robert Newman (1588-bef. 21 January 1655). Birth location is Queen Camel, Somerset, England; death location is Northumberland County, Virginia Colony. That profile mentions both a death at Virginia and daughter Jane Presley. His will "sealed 2nd of January 1655." Mentions "Mr. William Persly my loving nephew."
The will abstract makes no mention of the family members we associated with Elizabeth.
