George Newman was baptised in New Fishbourne, Sussex on 29 May 1825. He was the son of John Newman & Mary.[1]
In 1851 George & Sarah were living in the subdeanry of Chichester, Sussex with their children and his father. George was working as a butcher.[2]
Research Notes
FamilySearch shows different parents for the baptism of George to SFHG:
29 May 1825 New Fishbourne, Sussex, England, son of Ann Newman (fathers name not given) [3]
The SFHG details may have been transcribed wrong as the 1851 England Census record is consistent with the FamilySearch transcription.
George was born about 1825. George Newman ... He passed away before 1871. [4]
