In 1841 Thomas Newman (age 35-39) lived at Reach Hamlet in Burwell, Cambridgeshire with his wife Rebecca (35-39) and five children: Mary (10), John (8), Emma (5), Thomas (4), and Abraham (1).[3]
In 1851 Thomas Newman (age 53, Agricultural Labourer) lived in Littleport with his wife Rebecca (51) and five children: Thomas (14, Agricultural Labourer), Abraham (12), Louisa (10), William (7), and Elizabeth (2).[4]
In 1861 Thomas Newman (age 62) lived in Swaffham Prior, Cambridgeshire with his son-in-law Uriah Harding (33, Agricultural Labourer), daughter Mary A Harding (32), and six Harding grandchildren: Hannah (11), Charlotte (9), Daniel (7), Naomi (5), Alfred (3), and Kizah (0).[5] Thomas' wife Rebecca (60, Charwoman) lived in Swaffham Prior with four of their children: Abraham (21, Labourer), Louisa (19), William (16, Labourer), and Elizabeth (12, Scholar).[6]
Thomas Newman passed away in 1863, aged 68 years. His death was registered in Newmarket, Cambridgeshire in the third quarter of the year.[7]
