Amelia Ann, daughter of Mark Newth and Ann Bye.
1841 Census [1] had Ann aged 35, Amelia (15), Mark (14), Eiz. (8), Ellen (6), Eliz, (4), Martha (2) and a number of adults (mainly Excavators) living at Wood Street, Kingsbridge, Wootton Bassett
She emigrated to New Zealand at the age of 16 with her family on the ship Lloyds arriving in Nelson.
At age 21 she married Welsh born John Davies at Nelson's Cathedral and 11 children followed in their marriage.
Noted as being granted old age pension of 18 Pounds per year [2]
Amelia died in 1917 age 91 and is buried at Dovedale cemetery. Her obituary [3] Give date of death as 07 May 1917
