The stone in Colchester Burying ground is likely a cenotaph. Major Israel Newton was probably buried near Louisbourg. ("The Colchester, Conn. Newton Family" states that he was probably buried at Rochefort Point.)

Newton-9151 and Newton-2836 appear to represent the same person because: same parents, merge of duplicate mothers proposed. Dates on -9151 are unsourced and the data on the other profile should be used as it is supported.
