This was my great granny, a formidable person even in her 90's, looked after well into old age by loyal daughters Constance Cross and Edna Glover in their little Zwaartkops house. It had a double seater "longdrop" toilet out the back, and their Great dane Duke made it a terrifying ordeal going out there. Their house had pretty cuckoo clocks which fascinated us as kids, and they served "petit fours" each sunday afternoon, but it was still deadly dull going to visit!
