Biography

Charles Henry Newton Sr. was born on 3 Jan 1898 in Baltimore City, Baltimore, Maryland, USA. He was the son of Howard Harrison Newton, 1874–Deceased, and his wife, Julia Ann Smith, 1876–1900.

On 28 July 1917 he married Esther Marie Disney (1897-1985) in Wilmington, New Castle, Delaware, USA. The couple had at least 4 sons & 1 daughter between 1917-1926. ^[1]

On the 1950 US Census, he was recorded as 52 years old, separated from his wife but still married, living in the city of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA. He was a "Brickpainter" in the construction industry. ^[2]

Charles Henry Newton died after the 1950 US Census, around 1960 according to family sources. His last-known residence was in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
