Hi Wanda, You probably know that Find A Grave is not considered a reliable source on these old profiles where there is no grave stone. See here: [1]

In this particular instance, your comment (if I'm understanding it correctly) indicates a parent named Ephraim Newton who was born in 1764 and died in 1854. However this profile of Jane Newton-11 (his supposed daughter) was born in 1603 in England and died in 1672 in Massachusetts Bay Colony. Unless I'm misunderstanding, the years surely don't make sense.

Is her father Henry 1576-1605 b. London England

Jillaine, interesting that R. C. Anderson in "Great Migration" on p. 344-345 link for subscribers mentions a journal "kept by Israel Loring, grandson of the immigrant Thomas Loring." And gives perhaps identity of father, citing Waters 1040-41.archive.org

I question the parents of Jane Newton. If Jane was born in 1603 and her mother was born in 1552, then she would have been 49 at Jane's birth very unlikely.

If her father died in 1563 how could he have a child born in 1603?

Family information says Jane's parents were ROGER Newton(-367) and his wife Mary Hooker. I have no primary source though.

In similar vein if Alice Kellum was the mother of Jane Newton (for which assertion there is no genealogical evidence I am aware of) then it is unlikely that she could have been Jane's mother additionally because according to this profile she (Alice) died in 1574 and Jane was born in 1603 or thereabouts - also an uncertain date as no historical record of Jane's birth exists either. We can be fairly sure however that Jane is unlikely to have been born before 1584 at the earliest and thus still 10 years after her putative mother's death. I would suggest that these parents be removed as parents of Jane as neither has any historical validity.
The profile for Jane states she is 'Daughter of Richard Newton and Alice (Kellum) Newton' If Richard Newton was the father of Jane Newton (for which assertion there is no genealogical evidence I am aware of) then it is unlikely that he could have been Jane's father additionally because according to this profile he (Richard) died in 1563 and Jane was born in 1603 or thereabouts - also an uncertain date as no historical record of Jane's birth exists either. Whilst we have not found Jane, if we were to assume she was born in the year of her father's death then she would have given birth to her first child at the age of 62.
Newton-2391 and Newton-11 appear to represent the same person because: Same name, same husband, similar dates
