Biography

Sarah was born about 1650 to Richard and Hannah Loker Newton.

She is named in her father's will as Sarah Taylor "Also unto each of my Two daughters, namely Elizabeth Dingley senr and Sarah Taylor senr, I say unto each of these my five Children last named, I bequeath Two Shillings and no more, because I have given a portion to each of them already, these shillings shall be paid out of what estate I shall leave behind me, and that within Two months after my decease, to them or their heirs."[1]

She married James Taylor about 1670 based on the age of their first child

Sarah Taylor, b. Dec. 19, 1671, M. R. ; died Nov. 20, 1698, at Marlborough.

James Taylor. Jr., b. April 22, l674 at Marlborough; received 20 shillings by will of his father; m. Elizabeth _______ . They lived in Marlborough, and had seven children born there ; but their deaths are not on the record. His name appears as one opposed to the settlement of Rev. Jlr. Emerson, and he had a grant of land.

William Taylor, b. Aug. 6, 1676, at Cambridge; buried June 7, 1681.

Hannah Taylor, b. .July 1, 1079: m. Abiel Lamb, Jr., of Framingham, in 1()99, and had four children born there. She is given one-third part of his personal property by her father's will.

Samuel' Taylor, b. April 10, 1688; m. 1710. Hannah Greeley. They lived in Marlborough, it would seem in the house of his father, who, after reserving a room in his dwelling house for the wife, Sarah, gives all real estate and one-third of personal, with the care of said wife, to this son Samuel.

Sarah died after her husband's death in 1713 as she is the Executor if his will.

Newton-793 and Newton-298 appear to represent the same person because: Birth and death dates are similar, spouse and mother are the same, as are siblings. This request comes from an earlier merge of the mother.

Please unlink the one of the husbands of Newton-3971 and -793. The two Sarahs are obviously two different people. Straighten out the death dates/places, too.

Newton-4170 and Newton-793 do not represent the same person because: Family needs to be straightened out first.

Newton-3971 and Newton-4170 appear to represent the same person because: There are two families here so siblings etc. are all wrong. We're trying to correct this. Sarah was born 1645-55 and is the daughter of Richard Newton. Right now there are two of his daughters named Sarah. One born later should go with the second set of families, who are not daughters of Richard. I may unlink the incorrect ones from parents later. [Hall-19106|Marnie Hall]

Newton-4170 and Newton-793 appear to represent the same person because: Same parents and siblings, same spouse (after spousal merge). Appeared as a duplicate child, with several others, as the result of an incomplete merge. They will require merging, as well, to clean up the profiles. Parents had 12 children in all.

Newton-4170 and Newton-793 are not ready to be merged because: Need to check dates of birth.
