Jonathan Nicholls was born December 20, 1655 at Stratford, Fairfield, Connecticut Colony; the son of Isacke Nichols and his wife Margaret.[1]
At Stratford on December 21, 1681, Jonathan "Nickolls" married Hannah Hawkins/Howkins.[2]She was born at Farmington about 1661; the daughter of Mr. Anthony Howkins and granddaughter of Governor Welles.[3]
Jonathan died at Stratford in 1689. His widow Hannah was granted administration of his will, with the advice of Mr. Israwl Chauncey, Mr. Samuel Hawley, and Josiah Nichols. His widow returned account, September 23, 1691; the two sons were to be placed out to learn trades at age 16. The inventory of his estate was taken October 28, 1689.[3]
His widow Hannah married (2nd) to Sergeant Samuel Ward; and (3rd) to John Judson of Woodbury. She died at Woodbury on July 23, 1698.[3]
