OBITUARY: Miss Elva Jane Nichols, 33, Bolivar, formerly of Goodman, died at 6:30 p.m. Saturday in a Bolivar nursing home where she had been a patient for three years. Born Oct. 4, 1938, at Jane, she spent several years in Goodman. Survivors include her parents, Mr. and Mrs. William Nichols, Goodman; four brothers, Norman and Leonard, both of Jane, Norman C., Saddle Brook, N J., and James, Kansas City; five sisters, Mrs. Cleta Phillips, Tacoma, Wash., Mrs. Katherine Garrison, Reseda, Calif., Mrs. Grace Hammond, Covina, Calif., Mrs. Marilyn Bergen, Independence, and Mrs. Lola Morgan, Goodman. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday in the Goodman Methodist Church with the Rev. Earl Knowles officiating. Burial will be in the Muncie Chapel Cemetery near Wheaton under the direction of the Ozark Funeral Home of Goodman. The family will receive friends from 7-9 p.m. today at the funeral home.
