fort in King Phillip's War 1675. Rank Captain. Among recipients
of Narragansett veteran land grants 1686.
His subscription 1688 for new meeting house - four pounds
seven schillings.
Freeman granted 1690. Buried in Laurel Hill Cemetery in Reading.
This is example why listing Nichols as birth surname before late 18th Century
is usually not correct and should be a profile alternate.
