Calvin Nichols was born about 1826 in Tennessee.[1]
He appears on the 1865 tax list of Scott County, Arkansas taxed on 80 acres described as the S1/2 of the SW1/4 of Section 26 in Township 6 Range 28, and 73 acres described as the W1/2 of the NW1/4 of Section 1 in Township 5, Range 28.[2]
Calvin died between 1865[2] and 1870 as his wife Manervia has remarried William Franklin by that time.[3]
