Biography

  • Terry Nichols is a convicted home-grown American terrorist, serving 161 consecutive life sentences (the most ever) at the federal supermax prison near Florence, Colorado. He shares a cell block known as "Bomber's Row" with Ted Kaczynski (the Unabomber) and Ramzi Yousef (linked to Al Qaeda and the 1993 World Trade Center bombing.)
  • Father: Robert Nichols b abt 1925; mother: Joyce Unknown b. abt 1931; both still alive in 1997
  • Three siblings: Leslie (Les) b 1952, James b 1954, Suzanne McDonnell b 1960
  • His high school GPA was 2.6, graduating in 1973.
  • He dropped out of college in 1974 to help his mother after his parents divorced.
  • Married Lana Walsh, realtor, in 1981; son Joshua born the following year; divorced 1989. She remarried to Unknown Padilla
  • Second wife was a mail-order bride from the Philippines who arrived 6 months pregnant, m Marife Torres b. 1973 on Nov. 20, 1990. She has returned to the Philippines with their two children.
  • Dau Nicole b. 1993, 2nd child b. 1996
  • As he became radicalized, Nichols "renounced" his US citizenship. He declared a court not to have jurisdiction over him over credit card debt.
