William Melmer NICHOLS Jnr’s description as “Senior” in the death notice above, suggests the death dates of William Melmer NICHOLS Jnr and Snr are reversed? However, their respective ages at death confirm this notice correctly attributed to this profile.

Think I have sorted the two William Melmer Nichols now - marked Snr and Jnr and attached the correct wives.

A lot of confusion with this profile. No records found of a 2nd marriage and the one previously on occurred before the 1st wife's death. Have separated the record for Hannah Kimberley for now.

Nichols-4097 and Nichols-3931 appear to represent the same person because: 1. They appear to have only a spelling variation (possibly from misread handwriting) in the middle name.

2. William Helmer Nichols's daughter Elizabeth was born about 1 year after the marriage of William Melmer Nichols to Hannah Kimberley. From Tasmania records (linked on Nichols -3931), Melmer does appear to be the correct spelling of the middle name, also that record is the earlier of the two, so propose to keep that one.
