Craig and Raymond are 10th cousins once removed

Craig Nichols and Raymond Nichols DD are both descendants of Elizabeth (Grizzell) Coleman (1632-1700). It looks like our closest relation is through my maternal side, however, the name Nicholson will probably go back to the macnicol clan of Scotland as my line does.

Hi,

I sent you a check-in message several days ago about the 1776 Project to ask you about your past and continued involvement but have not yet heard back from you. Do you still want to be in the project?

If I don’t hear from you in a week or so, I’ll assume that you’ve moved on to other things, but you’re most welcome to re-join the project at any time.

Looking forward to hearing from you,

Best wishes,

Betty -- 1776 Project Leader

Greetings from the 1776 Project . . .

We're doing our semi-annual check-in to ask whether you have made contributions to the project in the last six months?

Please note that it is a requirement for membership in the 1776 Project that you respond to this check-in. Please post your response as a reply to this message on your page, for convenience of record keeping.

We look forward to hearing from you.

Betty -- 1776 Project Leader

Hello,

I am checking in on behalf of the 1776 Project to announce the new project membership requirements and to verify that you are still interested in being a member of the project. All project members are being asked to join one of the project teams and also to make at least one project contribution every 6 months. We are also asking all project members to join the project's Google Group for project communications.

If you are interested in remaining with the Project, please reply to this comment or send me a message, request to join the Google Group, and let us know what team you would like to participate on.

We really appreciate your contributions on WikiTree, and thank you for all your hard work. If you have any questions, please ask. We would also love to hear any feedback you may have for the project.

If we don't hear back from you we will assume that you no longer wish to participate in the project and if so, you could rejoin at any time as is convenient for you.

We look forward to hearing from you soon!

SJ - 1776 Project Leader

Hi Craig,

Congratulations on being Pre-1700 certified!

Because pre-1700 ancestors are shared by many descendants, coordination is essential. Thanks for joining the 1776 Project.

Craig -

The Profile is showing in the Database Errors Report. I am working on cleaning up DB Errors. Usually, this error is something as simple as "correct language" needs to put on the correct profile. I'm sure this is an easy fix to conform into the WikiTree Standards since you have already completed the triangulation.

Please review the information on DNA Confirmation here: https://www.wikitree.com/g2g/490393/did-you-know-dna-confirmations-and-citations-are-like-peas-pod

Hi Craig, Please put the DNA confirmation statement for Michael Nicholson-2809 in the Biography section of his profile, instead of the 'explain your changes' box. Please see the profile for Michael Nicholson-2809 for my message with the instructions for how the statement should be worded. Thanks!

Hi Craig, I just found a DNA match between you and my mother, Rhonda Norman. It looks like you are 4th cousins 2x removed through our mutual Breedon ancestry.

Hello Craig,

I just saw your note on Jane Cubbage's profile. Please share the data used for the triangulated group as I have not been able to find one and would like to add that information to the DNA page. I must admit I am confused in that none of the people mentioned in that group are descendants of Jane.

Welcome to the 1776 Project (http://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Project:1776), a subproject of the Military and War Project: http://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Projects#Military_and_War_Project

There are category links to add to your ancestor's profiles and research links to learn more about your family. The Project is a good way to consolidate the WikiTree ancestors with historic connections to the years of 1773 (Boston Tea Party) to 1789 (ratification of the U.S. Constitution.) All patriot, loyalist, Hessians, French, Native Americans or any other profiles with a connection to these years should be linked to an appropriate category in the Project.

If you haven’t already, please set your preferences for your Tags Followed to include 1776 Project and any other tag terms that you wish to follow: http://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Special:Following

Some categories have a template (SAR) to add at the top of a biography. If not, add a category link by putting the category name such as Template:1776 for those who bore arms in the Revolution and Template:1776 for those who contributed patriotic or civil service. Thank you.

Hi Craig,

Just a quick PS

Don't forget to Head over to the G2G forum. and take a minute to introduce yourself in the Tree House or ask a question in any of the other categories. There's also a brickwall tag in the G2G forum: for that "special" ancestor who is eluding you.

if you have pre-1700's ancestors to add please read our Pre-1700 profiles info.

Best Wishes, and have fun adding your leaves and branches!
