He married Jane Benner,[2] who was born in Columbia County, New York,[3] in January, 1870.[4] In 1875, the couple was enumerated in the New York state census living in Austerlitz, Columbia County, New York with children Mary C., born about 1871, and W. Clark, born around December of 1874. [3]
In the 1910 census William (age about 66) was living in Chatham, Columbia, New York, USA. Age in 1910: 66; Marital Status: Married; Relation to Head of House: Self; Relation to Head of House: Head[1]
William died in 1911 and was buried in Chatham Rural Cemetery, Chatham, New York.[2]
