Lucy Mary Nichols was born Lucy Mary Pugh on 1 March 1852 in Jamberoo, New South Wales, Australia[1], the daughter of John Pugh and Rebecca Moss. She was the sister of Ann Louisa (Nichols) Clarke aka Bradney, William Thomas Nichols, Eliza Jane (Nichols) Inskip, Rebecca (Nichols) Graham, George John Nichols, Sarah Jane Nichols, Matilda (Nichols) Trivett and Clara Catherine Hall (born Nichols).
Lucy married William John Spinks as Lucy Mary Nichols on 14 July 1871 in Jamberoo, New South Wales, Australia[2] and were the parents of Rebecca Ann Spinks, John Charles Spinks, Agnes Clara Duncan (born Spinks), George James Spinks, William Thomas Spinks, Robert Arthur H Spinks, Lucy Eleanor Crago / Williams (born Spinks), Edward Spinks, Henry Alfred Spinks and Lily May Spinks.
She passed away in June 1892 at Lismore, New South Wales, Australia[3].
