Samuel Nicholson was enumerated as son at Lower Hiwassee, Towns County, Georgia for the United States Census, 1880. He was noted as works on farm, born 1867 in Georgia and single. Also included in the household are self Logan Nicholson, wife Mary Nicholson, son James Nicholson, daughter Sarah Nicholson, son John Nicholson, son Mercer Nicholson, daughter Martha Nicholson, son L Nicholson, son William Nicholson, son Virgil Nicholson and mother-in-law Elizabeth Woodring.^[1]
