Augustus L Nicholson was enumerated as head of the household at Greenwood, Greenwood County, South Carolina for the January 22, United States Census, 1920. He was noted as born 1869 in North Carolina and married. He was an owner and a farmer on a general farm as seen in the image of the original census. Also included in the household are wife Rachel Nicholson, daughter Myrtle Nicholson, daughter Lillian Nicholson, son Grady W Nicholson, son Lenord E Nicholson, son Harold W Nicholson, son Everette A Nicholson and [son] Leslie Nicholson.[1]

Augustus Lee Nicholson was listed as the father of Harold Winthrop Nicholson Sr. who died April 21, 1992 in Asheville, Buncombe County, North Carolina. The mother was listed as Rachel Olive Gillespie and the wife Emma Sue Gray.[2]

Augustus Lee Nicholson is buried at Graceland West Cemetery and Mausoleum in Greenville, Greenville County, South Carolina.[3]
