Biography
Lillian Nicholson was enumerated as daughter of the head of household at Greenwood, Greenwood County, South Carolina for the January 22, United States Census, 1920. She was noted as born 1897 in South Carolina and single. She was a teacher (rural school) as seen in the image of the original census. Also included in the household are head Augustus L Nicholson, wife Rachel Nicholson, daughter Myrtle Nicholson, son Grady W Nicholson, son Lenord E Nicholson, son Harold W Nicholson, son Everette A Nicholson and [son] Leslie Nicholson.[1]
On April 1, 1935, Lillion Werts lived in Chappells, Township 7 Moon, Newberry County, South Carolina.[2]
Lillion Werts was enumerated as wife of the head of household at Chappells, Township 7 Moon, Newberry County, South Carolina for the April 24, United States Census, 1940. She was noted as born 1902 in North Carolina and married. She was a keeper (post office) as seen in this image of the original census. Also included in the household are head L E Werts and daughter Mary Lou Werts.[2]
Lillian Belle Nicholson Werts is buried at Trinity Lutheran Cemetery in Saluda, Saluda County, South Carolina.[3]
