Dovey Nicholson was enumerated at Post Office Davidson River, Henderson County, North Carolina for the August 22, United States Census, 1860. She was noted as born 1854 as seen in the image of the original census. Also included in the household are male John Nicholson, female Mary Nicholson, female Salena Nicholson, female Jane Nicholson, male Meret Nicholson, male Benj Nicholson and female Infant Nicholson.^[1]
