Biography

Satina Nicholason was enumerated at Ball Ground District, Cherokee, County, Georgia for the June 30, United States Census, 1860. She was noted as born 1856 in Georgia as seen in the image of the original census. Also included in the household are male George C Nicholason, female Minerva Nicholason, female Mary E Nicholason and male John W Nicholason.^[1]

Salena Nicholson was enumerated at Canton Post Office, 1032nd. District, Cherokee County, Georgia for the July 20, United States Census, 1870. She was noted as born 1857-1858 in Georgia and at home. She was marked as not being able to read or write as seen in this image of the original census. Also included in the household are male George C Nicholson, female Minerva Nicholson, female Mary E Nicholson and male John Nicholson.^[2]

Esther Anne Selina Nicholson Holbert is buried at Friendship Baptist Church Cemetery in Saluda, Polk County, North Carolina.^[6]
