The Will of Anna Sewart

In the name of God amen I Anna Stewart being of sound and disposing
mind and memory but being sensible of the certainty of death and being
anxious to dispose of the property with which it, has pleased Almighty
God, has blessed me do make ordain and establish the following as my
last will and testament, to wit:
1st I will and bequeath to my daughters Sallie Anderson and Rachel
Burgess each, one hundred dollars.
2nd I wish paid either to my negro woman Gilda in person or to such
person as the Court may appoint to receive the same for her use one
hundred dollars and also one Bed and Bedding.
3rd I have already provided for my daughter Polly Yoacham by giving
her one hundred dollars in the negro Bill which is the property of her
husband at my death. I therefore give her no money by this will.
4th I give and bequeath to my daughter Elizabeth Aid all the rest and
residue of my property of every kind to have and to hold the same free
from the debts or control of her husband in any respect whatever.
As witness my hand and seal this 18 day of May, 1855.
