William Nickerson was born 24 Nov 1802, in Barrington, Nova Scotia, Canada. His parents were Simeon Nickerson and Martha Kendrick Nickerson. [1]

William Nickerson and Patience Smith Crowell were married Mar 28 1828, in Barrington, Nova Scotia, Canada. At the time of their marriage Patience was twenty-six years old, and her parents were Stephen Crowell and Grace Smith Crowell. William was also twenty-six years old, and his parents were Simeon Nickerson and Martha Kendrick Nickerson.

  • David, was born about 1837, in Barrington, Nova Scotia, Canada and died in the year 1910, in Shelburne, Nova Scotia. David was seventy-three years old at the time of his death.
  • Abigail Young, was born 5 Jan 1831, in Barrington, Nova Scotia and died 9 Sep 1859. Abigail Young died at the age of twenty-eight years old.

Hannah and Jeremiah are to be married, on 13 Dec 1865, in Jordan River, Nova Scotia. Hannah's parents were William Nickerson and Patience Crowell Nickerson, while Jeremiah's parents were James Mullins and Charlotte Mullins. [2]

1871 "1871 Census of Canada," according to this census William was seventy years of age and his spouse Patience was sixty-six. William was born is about 1801, his religion was Methodist and his origin was Welsh. William's daughter Hannah and her husband Jeremiah Mullins and their two children Edna and Wilford Mullins were either visiting or living with Hannah's parents the census does not state. [3]


1881 "1881 Canada Census," according to the census William is eighty years of age, while his wife Patience is seventy-eight. Hannah and her children and continuing to live with her parents. I notice that Hannah's husband Jeremiah Mullins is no longer listed, which could indicate he has passed away, or is in the military. l[4]

William Nickerson passed away on 11 Sep 1888, in Jordan River, Nova Scotia.
