Research Notes

Note that in 1840, Richard lived in Fulton Co., NY, which had been created from Jefferson County in 1838.
In 1840, Richard's household consisted of:
1m0-5, 1m10-15, 1m15-20, 1m40-50, 1f0-5, 1f5-10, 2f15-20, 1f30-40.

Richard became a naturalized US citizen on 3 Sept 1855 in Jefferson County, New York at the County courthouse. His birth-year and place were given as 1794 in England.
According to it, he entered the country at New York City on 15 July 1816. Witnesses to his naturalization were Jason Clark and Josiah Smith.

Richard's Will was probate on 30 Nov 1880. His residence was listed as Alexandria, Jefferson, NY.
His Will mentions his wife, Ellen, sons George and Richard (Jr.), and daughters Betsey Parker, Barbara Iredevay, and Margaret Gillman.

Richard is listed in 1880 US Census Mortality Schedule, born about 1794 in England, died Sep 1879 in Alexandria, Jefferson, New York.
