Biography

Ridley R. Nixon, born in Virginia, probably Buckingham County, 12 Nov 1800. Married Robert T. Maxey 3 Nov 1819. Her first seven children were born in Virginia; the family was located in Albemarle County in the 1830 census. Tthe family spent seven years in Cumberland County, Kentucky, where they appear in tax records in 1833 and 1837. They moved to Illinois in 1840. After Ridley died at 47, Robert remarried. the children of Robert and Ridley were: Richard Anderson Maxey, b 3 Aug 1821 America Ann Elizabeth Maxey b. 2 May 1823 Robert Samuel Maxey b. 22 Jan 1825 James Monroe Maxey b 22 Jan 1825 Frances N.
