Jane Nixon was born on March 11, 1813[1], in Dufton, Westmorland, England, the child of Pattinson Nixon and Elizabeth Pearson. She married William B. Blackwell[2] on March 23, 1840[3], in Wythe County, Virginia. She died on October 24, 1896, in Washington County, Missouri, and is buried there. Jane is buried in the Hopewell Cemetery[4].
