Mary appears to be a younger sibling rather than wife, also living with Bennett. Missouri Marriage records indicate Mary E Noe married William Thomas Montgomery on 15 June 1849 in Schuyler County, MO. Mary was two years younger.
First marriage to Jane Miller in 1854 allows for Thomas Jefferson Noe and Sterling Price Noe to be offspring. Jane may have died shortly after Sterling's birth. This might indicate why he later lived with his brother Thomas J. Noe in Iowa (Census of 1880).
