Biography

Richard Norcross jr born in 1660, son of Richard & Mary (Brooks) Norcross. Richard jr married 1st to Rose Woodward, daughter of John & Abigail (Benjamin) Woodward, in Watertown on August 10, 1686 [1][2]

Richard and Rose (recorded as Mary) had 3 children, in Watertown: [3]

  1. Richard, b. Dec. 30, 1687
  2. Samuel, b. Oct. 14, 1689
  3. Abigail, b. July 11, 1692
Rose died, presumably in Watertown, between birth of last child in 1692 and Richard's second marriage in 1695.[4]

Richard Jr then married Hannah Sanders, in Watertown, on 6 Aug 1695. [5] Hannah died 15 May 1743 in Weston. [6] Richard and Hannah had 8 Children, in Weston:[7]

  2. Hannah, b. Feb. 26, 1698-9
  3. Joseph, b. July 1, 1701
  4. Jeremiah, b. July 2, 1703
  5. George, b. August 22, 1705

  8. William, b. March 14, 1714-5

Richard is said to have died in Princeton in 1745.[8]
