Biography

The wife of Sigurd Guttormson at Torsnes in Jondal may have been Sigrid, mentioned in a will from 1326.^[1]

It is suggested that she must be a daughter of Guttorm Norheim, as the Torsnes lineage later held a lot of the property that was mentioned in his probate in 1306.^[1]

The son of Sigurd and his wife was:

• Guttorm, lived at Torsnes; father of Sigurd and grandfather of Bård and Guttorm^[1]

Other possible children:

• Brynhild Sigurdsdotter at Rogne, Voss, who was mentioned in 1375 and 1380 and had a brother's son named Sigurd Guttormson, may have been a daughter.^[1]
• Hallbjørn Sigurdson, mentioned at Våge in Varaldsøy about 1330, in 1337 and 1341, who bought part of Rogne in 1337, has been suggested as a son^[1]
