I see that you have an interest in DNA study and have taken a DNA test. Would you be interested in starting a One Name Study for either your surname or another name you are researching? The purpose of the One Name Study is to coordinate any WikiTreers who are researching one particular surname and to provide a resource for collaboration.

For instructions on how to get started and suggestions for getting the most out of your study, see: One Name Study

For more information, contact Doug or Alison with any questions.

Ron,

We're getting the new Holocaust Project started. There is a template that can be added at the top of profiles of either Victims, Fate Unknown, or Survivors. I'm adding the template to all profiles that are already in any of these categores that are open or that I manage. Here it is:

Candle Flame Ron Norman RN, BSN was a part of the Holocaust.
If you are interested in this profile,
please check out the Holocaust Project!

Welcome to the DNA Project: http://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Project:DNA

Please make sure each bit of DNA test information is added to the actual test participant's profile, not someone else's like your own. To make cousin connections, WikiTree needs to see the FamilyTree tab. Check that your Privacy on your profile is set to "Private with Public Family Tree" as a minimum. (Living minors should have an Unlisted privacy level.)

Please set your preferences for your Tags Followed to include DNA and other terms on the (G2G) feed: http://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Special:Following

As you add your family lines and connect to the big WikiTree, you may find new cousins. Use the Relationship calculator to see if you are related to me, Cooper-1 with http://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Special:Relationship

Ron, I am now persuaded that Jan Adamszen Metslaer's wife --and the mother of the 7 children I added -- is Geertie Dircks "van Meppel". Is it better to make a profile for her and link to Jan as a(nother) wife? Thanks. John

I am so pleased that you included John Michael Thompson (Thompson-10401) and Gilbert M Thompson (Thompson- 10991) in your extended family tree. Do you happen to know if Gilbert M Thompson had any children? For the sake of their privacy I do not need to know any details, just a yes or no if you are privy to that information. Thanks!
