You are now a member of the WikiTree Community. I have several years experience researching my own and my wife's family trees. My family are mostly from the North East of Scotland. My wife's family are mostly from Scotland too but there is one branch from the South of England. Hoping to share what information we have with as many people as possible.

Noticed you uploaded a GEDCOM. Here's a link to a great step-by-step of the process including screenshots that you might find helpful.
The help pages give lots of information about the process, best to start with 'Before you import a GEDCOM'.
