INQUEST. The adjourned inquest touching the death of Charles Edward Norris, 45 years of ago, labourer, of Eltham, whose body was found on the bank of the Waimakariri river on November 22nd, was continued before the Coroner, Mr S. E. McCarthy, at the Court on Saturday. George Crossby Lidgett, nephew of deceased gave evidence of identification. The Coroner brought in a verdict that deceased died as the result of a wound in the calf of each leg, together with exposure and loss of blood. There was no evidence to show by whom the wounds were inflicted [1]
