Mudgee Guardian 12-10-1908. Page 3. Another Old Resident Gone- impressive sermon at the grave. It is with deep regret we have to record the death of Mrs Elizabeth Wilton, widow of the late Mr William Wilton which took place at McDonalds Creek on Friday last. The deceased was aged 89. She was born at Mere, Wiltshire,England and came to NSW with her husband in 1841 age 22. Her husband predeceased her some 5 years ago. Surviving children are- Samuel of Mudgee. - Thomas of Eurow. - John of Hope Royal - William & Frederick of Wiltonville . Daughters are. Mrs J Webster is Sydney & Mrs W McDoucall of Sydney. Another son Mr James Wilton father of C. H. & F. J. Wilton of the Guardian Office died at Rylstone some years . There are 39 Grandchildren & 55 G-G-Grandchildren. The deceased enjoyed good health up until last Thursday where she took ill and passed away peacefully. Her remains were placed in the family mausoleum, Mudgee.
