Reginald Norris was born in 1891. He was the son of Edward Thomas Norris and Jessie Sarah Chamberlin

Birth

Reginal was baptised 14 Jan 1891 in the parish of Arundel. His parents were Edward Thomas and Jessie Sara Norris. Their abode was recorded as Arundel but in the 1911 census they gave Reginald's birthplace as Lyminster^[1]

Early Years

In 1891 Reginald, aged 5 months, was living with his parents and brothers Eric and Ralph in Lyminster, Sussex. Reginals's father was a Brewery Owner. There were four domestic servants in the household^[2].

In 1901 Reginald, aged 10, was boarding at Manor House School, Cheam, Epsom, Surrey^[3]

In 1911 Reginald was living in Billingshurst with his parents and brother Eric^[4].

Reginald served in the 2nd Bn Rifle Bde Machine Gun Corps in France from 1914-15^[5]

On 6th of March 1915 Reginald, now a Ranchman aged 24, arrived in Liverpool from Buenos Aires on the ship Alcantara. He gave his address in England as 'Gratwiche' Billingshurst, Sussex but his last permanent residence as Argentina. With him were Marguerite Mackenzie aged 42 and Catherine Nora Mackensie aged 20^[6]

Reginald and Catherine both gave their residence as Belgrano. The certificate states that they were married in the Civil Registry Buenos Aires on October 23rd 1919, being Bachelor + Spinster. Their witnesses were M G Begg, G C Kennard and R H Mackenzie^[7]

In 1939 Reginald and Catherine were living at the Wildens, Five Oaks, Billingshurst. Reginald (birthdate 17 November 1890) was a Farmer, Catherine (birthdate 10 November 1894) was engaged in unpaid domestic duties^[8].

Death

Reginald E Norris died aged 77 on 13 February 1968 in Sussex.^[9][10]
