Hello Tony:
Vic and I recently returned from a trip to Vernon Co, Wis and while there I visited the Vernon Co Historical Society in Viroqua. One of the surname files I pulled was Norris, of course, and came across an obit for Edward Norris who died 4 April 1863. It said the "cause of death was poison inhaled when removing a body from one graveyard to another." Maybe you've come across this information before and perhaps it isn't your ancestor, but thought I would pass it along.
