Lemuel Northrup was born May 31, 1757, in Newtown, Connecticut, the son of Jonathan and Ruth (Booth) Northrop. He removed to Peacham, Caledonia Co., Vermont, about 1785. He was a farmer, and a pensioner of the Revolutionary War. He married Lois Woodard in March 1795. He died in November 1843.
