Biography
Mary was born March 1, 1778 in Georgetown District, South Carolina which became known as Horry County, South Carolina in 1801. She was the daughter of William Norton and Patience Harrelson.
She passed away March 1838 in Copiah County, Mississippi.

Mary Norton Lewis was referred to by name in the will of her father, William Norton, written Oct. 31, 1805 (recorded Aug. 1, 1806, Box 6, Bundle 3, Horry County Wills).
