Biography
Almeda was born in 1822 and was the daughter of Benjamin and Mehitable (Wales) Norton. She married Quincy in Dec 1843 in Abington, Massachusetts.
They had one daughter together:

- Note NI02485In the Lds, if it is accurate, it says that Quincy Adams Tirrell married 2nd Belinda Burrell Shaw 12/20/1853. She was born 12/24/1834 acc, to the LDS. I show her birth from the census as 9/1834 in MA, so??
- She was the daughter of Warren Shaw and Nancy Thomas, of Weymouth.
- Quincy married 1st Almeda Norton 12/3/1843 and she died, I assume, bef 12/20/1853 but after 11/23/1845 when their daughter Almeda Norton Tirrell was born.

Here is a message I received via the private wiki email system: "Almeda L. Norton is listed on familysearch.org. Her marriage record showing Quincy Tirrell is there along with her parents, Benjamin Tirrell and Mehitable Wales. I have been looking for her death record. As a working hypothesis, I believe that she died before Quincy married his 2nd wife, Belinda Burrell Shaw. On the other hand, there is an actress who was born 1822, died 1866 who was Almeda L. Norton. My Almeda L. Norton's daugher, Almeda Norton (Tirrell) McAllister was a talented singer and musician. She was raised by her grandparents and her father. I'd be interested in any information you have about either of the Almeda L. Nortons. "
