Biography

From Hollister Family of America:

"She was born in Goshen, Conn., May 24, 1792, and died in Mansfield, N.Y., Dec. 31, 1884, aged more than 94. She was the 16th child [actually 17th as she had a half sister Rhoda, Daughter of Ruth Squires [ between wife 2 and 3]] of Miles Norton of Goshen, Conn., by his 3d wife, Miss Anne Agard. Miles was a son of Col. Ebenezer Norton of Durham, Conn., son of Samuel Norton of Saybrook, Conn., son of Thomas Norton of Saybrook, son of Thomas Norton who came from England with the company that settled at Guilford, Conn., in 1639. Samuel Hollister died in Mansfield, N.Y., June 29, 1849."
