Biography

Joel Abner Nunn was born 1879 to father M C Nunn and mother Georgia Murry.[1]

Joel A Nunn was enumerated as head of the household at Wellington, Morgan County, Georgia for the April 26, United States Census, 1910. He was noted as born 1879 in Georgia and had been married ten years. He was a farmer on a general farm and a renter as seen in the image of the original census. Also included in the household are wife Lillie M Nunn, son Hughlon M Nunn, son Joel H Nunn, son Archie P Nunn, daughter Effie M Nunn and son Elbert C Nunn.[2]

J Abner Nunn was enumerated as head of the household at Rock Hill Road, Catawba, York County, South Carolina for the April 4, United States Census, 1930. He was noted as born 1879 in Georgia and married. He was first married at the age of twenty. He was a renter and a farmer on a general farm as seen in an image of the original census. Also included in the household are wife Lillie Nunn, son Foster Nunn, son Odom Nunn, daughter Ellin Nunn and son Henry Nunn.[3]

Joel Abner Nunn died June 15, 1962 in Lexington, York County, South Carolina. His wife was listed as Lillie Maughon as seen in an image of the original Certificate of Death.[1]

Joel Abner Nunn is buried at Friendship United Methodist Church Cemetery in Rock Hill, York County, South Carolina.[4]
