Correct me if I'm wrong, but it seems that your father was an Alfred Spencer Jr.? He would be my first cousin twice removed. I suppose that makes us sort of cousins as well....right?

Hi Cousin!

Uncle Al was my mother's brother. You and I are second cousins. Your grandmother, Aunt Myrtle to me, was a big part of my childhood and young adulthood. Jimmy or Bobby Lombard would bring Myrtle and Margaret to graduations and confirmations and such. It still doesn't really feel like a party without her, or really the two of them together. I loved her dearly and always will.

My Grandfather, Alfred Francis Spencer, had five siblings: Joanne, Dorothy, Margaret, Myrtle, Evelyn, and there was a brother that died young, Charles maybe?

I probably don't have a lot of answers for you, but the work has been done, both by maybe one of Aunt Dorothy's children or grandchildren, as well as my mother, who has documented the Spencers back a handful or more generations, possibly on another platform.

If you like, you can reach me directly at msoclr at yahoo com.

Best regards, Michael O'Donnell

How's everything going?

Now that you have had a little time to try WikiTree, there are a few more features you may find useful.

Ideas on what to include in a profile can be found in Styles and Standards, including some tips on writing biographies.

If you need to describe an event, an heirloom or a location relevant to your research, you may like to learn about Free Space Profiles.

Lastly, sometimes you'll run into unresponsive profile managers. We have a process for resolving those unfortunate situations.

If you have any questions, feel free to ask via my profile page.

Hi Michael,

A warm welcome to WikiTree, a genealogy site different than any other! You should have received an email from us with helpful links to get started.

Our goal is to have one single profile per person so that we have ONE big family tree and we collaborate together to make that happen.

Each volunteer at WikiTree adds to the collaborative tree at their own pace, there are no minimum requirements for time or entry.

When you volunteer, you indicate your interests by adding tags and comments and then one of our Greeters will confirm your membership.

Please check out our question of the week: Brickwalls...argg...Have you got one, and what do you need to knock it down? Welcome to the family!
