Biography

James William O'Neill died as a child. His ancestors were Irish. The O'Neil'ls are a famous Irish family dating from the Middle Ages. Their famous original ancestor was the Naill who had NIne Hostages. Somewhere along the line, some of the O'Neill clan immigrated to Australia, and this is the line from which James William O'Neill descends. May he rest in peace.

I know only the published information in surname books. Naill and the Nine Hostages at least 1200 years ago. Read Irish Families by Edward McLysaght. I do not have any O'Neill in my family tree.
