Biography

Patrick O'Shea ... [1]

In 1878 his parents plus siblings Julia and James had travelled to Australia on the Dunbar Castle under the surname of "Shea'. His other siblings born in Australia have O'Shea on their birth certificates. The Queensland Birth Deaths Marriages BDM website has a Patrick Michael Shea born to John Shea and Julia Sullivan on 26 Sep 1879. I am assuming this is the same person. Sources BDM Certificate C/1879/1979

Patrick spent most of his working life with Queensland Railways. In 1910 he was mentioned in the Darling Downs Gazette where he was called as a witness concerning a Jondaryan murder hearing involving a railway worker. DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with Patrick by comparing test results with other carriers of his Y-chromosome or his mother's mitochondrial DNA. However, there are no known yDNA or mtDNA test-takers in his direct paternal or maternal line. It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with Patrick:

Hello,

Just a friendly message to let you know that there is a blank space in front of the =Sources BDM Certificate C/1879/1979= heading on this profile. Since this profile is locked, I am asking if you would be willing to remove the blank. In edit, you can put your cursor where the asterisk is. Let me know if you need any help.
