Biography

Daniel Gustav Oakes was the youngest of nine children, and the only son. He married Ina Bierman at the Saint Luke's Lutheran Church parsonage in Allentown, Lehigh, Pennsylvania on 25 Nov 1938. The ceremony was performed by Rev. William L. Katz. The couple raised two sons and two daughters. Dan was employed by the Bethlehem Steel Company as a policeman. He died of a stroke in his doctor's office in Allentown, Lehigh, Pennsylvania on 24 Sep 1969. He was buried on 27 Sep 1969 in Coplay Cemetery in Coplay, Lehigh, Pennsylvania.
