Thomas F. Oakes and Elizabeth Yates Oakes were listed as the parents of William Elias Oakes on the cemetery records for their son. The death certificate for their son says that they were both born in England.
He was a master plumber by trade, owning his own plumbing company in Hartford, CT. He died of Croupous Pneumonia (pneumonia with a croup- like cough) on February 24, 1913 at age 75.[1]
