Ruth Oakes was born on July 4, 1812 in Pennsylvania, United States.
Ruth (47) married John Morton (60) (born in January, 1800 in Indiana, Pennsylvania, USA; son of John Morton and Mary (Bell) Morton) in 1860. Their children were:
Removed Jane Oaks (1838-) and John G Oaks (1833-) from her children. They did live with them in the 1850 census[2], but there was another Oaks family nearby, and I don't think Jane and John were Ruth's children. They may have been niblings, further research required.
Confused if the children linked here are hers, and she and their father married later, or if they're someone else's and she's their stepmom. Then maybe John and Jane were her children. I also think the marriage date could be incorrect, because ten years earlier they used the same last name.
