Biography

This profile is part of the Oaks Name Study.

John was born in 1715. He was the son of Nathaniel Oak and Mary Holloway.

In 1742, he was married to Susannah Allen. They had 5 children:

  • Hannah, d. in infancy
  • Levinah, b. 23 May 1745; died before adulthood
  • Elijah, b. 27 Apr 1747; d. 1 Dec 1750
  • Hannah, b. 20 Apr 1749
  • Nathaniel, b. 16 May 1751

He passed away in 1752 at the age of 37.[1]

Probate

John Oak of Westborough, yeoman died intestate and on 18 October 1752, his widow Susannah was granted the administration of his estate.[2]

His inventory was taken on 24 October 1752 in Westborough.[3]
